Tequilla was the very first cat we got back in 1995. We were on a horse ranch where my father’s soccer team celebrated the end of the season and Tequilla was there and found my mother’s lap very comfortable. For whatever reason my parents decided to take her home, she already got the name from the people on the ranch.
I wasn’t very pleased about that, because I was scared of any kind of animal except for fish. However one day she went outside the flat and I had to take her in so I had to carry her. It was the first time I took her up into my arms and ever since I was crazy about her (and I want to say she about me, too :P ).
Unfortunately she wasn’t with us for long. She loved to walk around the apartment building and probably one of the neighbours didn’t like it and threw her out (I also have a feeling who it was, and hate those grumpy old people, who are probably already dead by now). She very likely made it anyhow. She grew up on the horse ranch, however in 1997 when it happened she was maybe 3 years old. That also means she would be 17 now (2011), but I don’t think she is still alive.
For me it was the end of the world. I hung up papers that we look for her, but of course without success. My parents made it worse stating, we wouldn’t get another cat. To me it meant so much having a living creature that was there and cuddled with me and calmed me down with purring next to me.
In the end my parents gave in and we got Blacky. However I never forgot Tequilla. Unfortunately I hardly have any pictures especially not digital ones, because that was before digital cameras and all the pics I have are analogue except for 2. ;)
